For policy level advocacy, TBS had made alliances with the individuals and organizations on the national level. The name of the alliance is Rashtriya Jal Biradari. Jal Biradari has its chapters in different states of the country. These chapters involve the groups of academicians, activists, bureaucrats, organizations, institutes and youths.

As strategy, TBS organizes seminars, conferences, rallies, marches for the generating awareness on the natural resources issues of the region. TBS supports the movements of the local communities struggling for the conservation and protection of natural resources of the nation. For the promotion of Rain water harvesting, TBS sends its community experts to the other parts of the country.

TBS mainly focuses on the conservation and management of the small river basins of the states. It is struggling for the cause of EXCLUSIVE RIVER POLICIES at the national and state level. TBS intensively working in the Ganga River Basin for restoring its continuous and pure flow (Aviral Evam Nirmal Pravah). TBS has filed the public interest litigation on the pollution and encroachment of River Mithi and River Devnadi in Mumabi and Pune in the state of Maharashtra . In The state of Uttar Pradesh, TBS is working on the issues of the River Hindon, River Kali and River Bakulahi, River Pandu in the Western and Eastern part of the state.
